Just got done with an interveiw at LOLA. This purse boutique like 3 minutes away from the apt. I walked in to meet Jason. I didn't know at the time that Jason was flamboyantly gay purse designer. Awesome.

So Jason says, "Do you wanna go grab some coffee?"

I agree.

He buys me a cranberry juice. What a nice guy.

Jason proceeds to talk about Lola and his business "partner" Lowell for about 30 minutes. Not asking me any questions, just talking about purses.

Then Jason says "Well I should probably ask you some questions."

"What's your style like?"
(I answer)
"Are you a people person?"
(Yes)
"You're available all the time?"
(Yes)

Okay, well I'll make my decision by Sunday, and I'll give you a call.

So we proceed to leave the coffee shop. Walk toward the LOLA store in a kindof akward silence.

All of a sudden Jason says, "Are you a party girl?"
(Not really. I can be at times, but not really anymore.)
You act a lot older than 18.
(Thanks, I get that all the time.)

So I say, "I'm gunna head back home, which is this way.(Points to right) Nice to meet you.(Shakes hand)"

"I'll call you Sunday regardless," he replied.

Here's a real update on my life:

Friends:
For the most part I am happy with my friends. I have become better friends with Zach's friends and have unfortunately lost touch with a few people I used to be really good friends with. i wish I had seen more people over break, but I guess that's how it goes. Seems like most of my friends have dillemmas or are sad right now.

Family:
Yeah, my family never fails to surprise me. I'm not even going to go any further than that.

Work:
Job interveiw at Old Navy tomorrow. At this point I don't even care where I work. Cross your fingers for me!

Play:
Lately I have been spending a lot of time with Zachary. It's weird to be in a real relationship. I guess when youre in a real relationship it means you spend a lot of time together. Don't get me wrong we hangout a lot with Ju and Ryan and recently my friends from HS...sometimes we hangout with Jon, and I get to enjoy Colour practice every Friday. So yeah...I'm having a good time.

Love:
Zach is perfect for me, he really is. So all of you...get used to it, he's gunna be around a long long time.

Me:
For the first time in a long long time, I am truly happy. i have a better outlook on life than I ever have. I am painting regularly and smoking pot a lot less. As far as friends go, I wish things were a little different (mostly how they were last spring), but I have come to realize that it's going to be different and I can't change that. So I am ultimately OK with who I have in my ife and who I don't.

Fun Fact: I am getting my 3rd tattoo on Saturday! You'll have to wait and see what it is.

So it's 10:24 in the AM. I jst got off the phone with Shalom from Old Navy. [keep in mind I had about an hour of sleep last night due to matt bye being a dick] Here's a little something how the conversation went:

Shalom: Can I speak with Michelle?

Me: Yea, this is.

Shalom: I wanted to ask you a few questions about your application.

Me: Okay.

Shalom: When are you available?

Me: All the time. I start school in the fall, but up until then I have nothing going on.

Shalom: Ok. Why do you want to work at Old Navy?

Me: Umm, well, My aunt works at an Old Navy and she really likes it. I don't know I worked in the food industry for awhile and I would like to get some retail experience under my belt and learn more about that end of the service industry. [who the fuck says that???]

Shalom: Okay. What would make you stand out as an employee at Old Navy?

Me: Well, I like to think I'm original. [oh my god I'm so stupid] I am a hard worker [ha!] and I like being on time and am usually really early. [What the fuck? seriously why did i say that?]

Shalom: Um, okay. If I were to contact your previous employer what would they say you needed to improve on?

Me: Well, umm, what I would need to improve on?

Shalom: Yes.

Me: Well I dont know...[yes i do...be on time, dont call in sick, do your job...] it's hard to say because i got along really well with my employers and fellow employees, they really had no complaints that i knew of [HA!] so that a hard question for me to ask, i mean answer [yep defintely blew that question]

Shalom: Okay well I am going to set up another interveiw with you on Wednesday. Is that good for you?

Me: Yes. [is she serious?]

I am a little out of practice when it comes to job interveiws. Especially when they are on the phone and when I have had no fucking sleep. I was really effing nervous. God dammit. Hopefully I'll be able to make a better impression when I go in on Wedsnesday.

I am such an ass.

I had the most awful scary dream ever last night. It jolted me awake and I couldn't breathe.

Jon...you were my brother and we had a little sister who had long blonde hair. Our parents were these people that I made up I think, bc they didnt look familiar, but we were an awesome family. We got along and had fun times and loved eachother a lot. This was set in modern day, but America was sending troops and drafting people over to Germany to help Germany fight a war against Russia. For some reason they sent our entire family to fight, including our little sister. So we were all thrown into this battleground, but we stuck together. We never actually killed anyone, but there were explosions and these little skinny mexicans kids and babies that we were reponsible for. we took care of them, and made them food, and gave them our hats and coats to wear because it was snowing. Our parents ended up killing people and blowing things up. So Jon and I spent most of the time crying and screaming...hahaha. We kept moving and fighting. and then all of a sudded my "mom" and "dad" told me that they were sending me home to take care of things...apparantly they had control over their kids being there. So Jon and I got sent back to America but not our little sister. The US sent our parents to Canada, where more of the war was being fought...which is hilarious....and our little sister went to this camp where all of the little kids were being sent. The entire planeride home, Jon and I were bawling...I basically couldn't control myself...I was having trouble breathing and then I woke up scared and gasping for air.

That dream blew.

DC is boring.

Though I did take some lovely photos which i will share soon.

Yesterday I went on a tour of the Capitol...and chilled in Obama's office for like an hour. Then I watched the senator of Nevada give a speech about increasing student loans. It was pretty boring. Later that night when Zach got home from work, we went on a trolley tour of DC. We saw the Roosevelt Memorial, Arlington Cemetary, The White House, The Capitol, The Lincoln Memorial, The Washington Monument...mm. etc? Did you Know that when you stand in front of the Iwo Jima WWII Memorial, it ia perfectly lined up with the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and the Capitol Building. It was pretty awesome looking.

I was supposed to come home today, but I had to re-boook my flight due to inclimate weather in Chicago.

Tomorrow.

I want to go to the Corcoran Art Gallery...they currently have a Warhol exhibit...and I may also go see the White House closer up.
